Organization of the Dept. of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for the sound management of fiscal affairs including the appropriate utilization of facilities, materials, and operational funds.
 The Director of Operations is supported by four supervisors who are responsible for transportation, nutrition services, Technology, maintenance/custodial operations of all facilities, materials, equipment. The four supervisors are responsible for working with their staffs to deliver the support services that are the “life-blood” of the overall educational program.
 


Purpose of the Department of Operations

 
The Operations Department is responsible for the prudent fiscal management of all expenditures which contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the educational program.  The staff of the Operations Department are the empowered caretakers of the community’s investment in facilities, material, and operations funds to ensure that they are protected and used wisely. The Operations Department is also charged with the responsibility to oversee school operations, facilities, and appropriate services which support a thorough and efficient educational program

Goals of the Support Services Program

  1. A safe and pleasant physical environment for teaching and learning for the school community through the continual evaluation of the facilities.
  2. A transportation program for the safe transporting of students to and from school.
  3. A nutrition services program that supports the nutrition programs through participation in the National Child Nutrition Programs.
  4. To provide the facilities needed for the number of students in the district, to provide the kind of facilities that best support and accommodate the educational program, and to develop a long-range planning and evaluation program.
  5. A safety program that evaluates personnel, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe environment and to minimize the effects of a disaster.
  6. To provide opportunities for professional training to our department staffs which respond to the educational needs of all of our students.
