TMHS Student Expectations

As representatives of Trotwood-Madison City Schools, TMHS students are expected to demonstrate our RAMS Core Values at all times:
  • Respectful
  • Accountable
  • Motivated
  • Self-Controlled
These expectations will be encouraged and enforced through a combination of our PBIS Program and the use of a Progressive Discipline plan that adheres to our Student Code of Conduct.

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a system designed to promote positive behaviors, reduce negative behaviors, and build positive relationships between students, families, and staff members.  This is accomplished by setting clear expectations, explicitly teaching those expectations, and implementing a consistent system for acknowledging and correcting behaviors.  Further details can be found at the Ohio PBIS website.

Progressive Discipline is a system that will escalate consequences for repetitive negative behaviors in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct, while maintaining respect for the due process rights of all students.  Under this type of system, most 'Level 1' behaviors will begin with a verbal warning and escalate from there.  Further details can be found in the TMCS Student Handbook and Code of Conduct.
