The Early Learning Center is designed as a
holistic learning environment. Rather than segregating each
grade in their own academic wings, the kindergarten and first grade
classrooms are intermingled, allowing grade assignments to be
based on developmental progress rather than age. Students may
advance or remain with their current group without leaving the
familiar surroundings to which they have grown accustomed.
The building interior
design is tailored to the younger age group this building will
house. From bright primary colors and graphics to carefully
selected interior materials and finished, the Early Learning Center
is safe and appropriate for its students. It is also easy to
maneuver, employing a simple "loop" floor plan that allows students
to easily find their way back to their classrooms.
